The State Office of EMS is pleased to announce the official rollout of the 2019 Scope of Practice EMT -1 Transition Course. The course has been designed to be flexible and accommodate a variety of learning styles and time constraints.  The course has been divided into 2 parts, which include a didactic portion and psychomotor skills portion. Providers that wish to accomplish the didactic portion of the course by taking the self-paced state sponsored online Moodle course will still have to accomplish the psychomotor portion.   Upon successful completion of both portions of the EMT-1 Transition these additional skills and medications will be considered part of your allowable scope of practice if authorized by your medical director and department’s standing orders.

Payment in full is required at the time of initial registration to reserve a place in the class.

Southern Region EMS Council reserves the right to cancel a class if enrollment is less than the course minimum. A full refund will be issued less the cost of any opened course books.

There is a 10% fee on all cancellations. There is no refund for registrations cancelled within 7 days of class start date.

To receive a refund on UNOPENED course books they must be returned within 7 business days from cancellation.

If cancelled before Heartcode Complete license is issued, there will be a 10% cancellation fee. If Heartcode Complete license has been issued no refund will be given.

All cancellation requests must be in writing from the student enrolled in the course and submitted to registration@sremsc.org with a subject title of "STUDENT CANCELLATION".
